Custom made 18k solid gold Mexican “Coat of Arms” eagle and snake pendant centering a 3.50 carat cabochon Colombian Emerald. This symbol of an eagle and serpent is seen on the Mexican flag

Pendant design is inspired by the ancient Aztec legend about the origins of Tenochtitlan, Mexico.

The pendant is a magnificent and detailed depiction of the Mexican “Coat of Arms” (as seen on the Mexican flag). It depicts Father Diego Durán’s interpretation of the old Aztec legend, in which an eagle represents all that is good and right, while the snake represents evil and sin.

The legend is commonly known as an eagle sitting on a cactus while devouring a serpent, this signaled to the Aztecs where to find their city, Tenochtitlan.
